David B. Couturier, OFM. Cap., Ph.D., D. Min. is the Richard and Barbara Fisher Professor of Social Theology and Dean of the School of Theology at St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD. David received his clinical psychology and psychotherapeutic training at the Institute of Psychology (Gregorian University) in Rome. After training in family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York, David graduated from the Graduate Theological Foundation and the William Alanson White Institute for Psychiatry’s Organizational Development Program in New York. He holds two doctorates, in counseling and in pastoral psychology, summa cum laude (with a concentration on organizational dynamics in religious institutions).
