UNFINISHED BUSINESS is a data-based study of the nature and causes of the "all-but-dissertation" phenomenon in America at the top twenty Ph.D. granting seminaries in the U.S. The study was done with the assistance of the accrediting agency and the participating institutions. It is the first data-based study of the ABD phenomenon in the United States specifically focusing upon those in theological and religious studies.
